just concluded teaching a 3 Day Raw Abundance Wellness Retreat at the Sivananda Yoga Ashram in the Bahamas. 3 days of hands on raw food cooking classes plus a raw lecture everyday.
had a great group of girls from Canada, America, and the Bahamas and really enjoyed teaching them about raw food and how it is healing and energizing to the body. so many people think raw food is bland and boring, but my favourite part about teaching the course is showing people how simple, creative and fun assembling the ingredients can be. when i teach cooking classes, my goal is to empower my students to cook on their own, and eventually without recipes. having the confidence to create recipes on their own. my future cookbook will be called “no rules raw tropical cooking”…….or something like that.
we cooked over 20 raw recipes over the course of the 3 days, some of which included:
